For those of us who choose not to spend a small fortune on those overpriced "designer" glasses, there are some superb fashion sunglasses that can even surpass the more expensive options when it comes to looks and price.
Many consumers are just sick and tired of paying hundreds of dollars on "designer" sunglasses that in truth, aren't made much better than the fashion varieties that use the same materials. Almost all sunglasses are made of plastic, and even though there are different grades of plastic, it's still a material that should never cost hundreds of dollars. Plastic breaks. Period. The lenses are still fragile and the earpieces are indistinguishable between a $390 pair and a $39 pair.
These sunglasses give everyone the perfect opportunity to add that certain amount of pizzazz to any outfit from a bathing suit to dinner attire, lounge wear to professional suits. They are so reasonably priced that almost everyone can afford multiple pairs to mix and match with anything in their wardrobe.
Many of the manufacturers for these lower priced sunglasses (usually under $50) actually do have UV protection. Even high end glasses along the lines of Prada and Versace have tended to neglected this aspect of eyewear. If you buy these fashion glasses in a large department store there's a good chance you will even get a case to go with it.
If you are just looking for one pair for a special occasion, or maybe you lost yours while traveling, you have many choices. They are sold almost everywhere from convenience stores to large retailers, drug stores, and most large cities have their street corners almost littered with vendors selling all sorts of sunglasses in all price ranges. (If you really want Prada and your price range is $20, this is the way to go if you don't care about authenticity.)
Even with low priced sunglasses, however, you should take care of the lenses. They scratch easily, and a special soft cloth should be used whenever possible - forget the paper towels, restaurant napkins, or even tissues!
Sizing is important. What many people don't realize though is that if you happen to try on a pair that you took off a rack, and it doesn't fit well, try a few more. They usually have a few different sizes for each style on each display. They just aren't marked with sizes.
